Making mockery of J&K bowlers, Delhi boys today took a huge first innings lead of 301 runs after Gourav Kochar and Chander Thapa scored brilliant centuries in the Poly Umrigar under-15 three day match underway at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here.
With a grand total before them to chase with a full day play remaining tomorrow, J&K started their second innings on bad note with both the openers went to the pavilion without opening account today. However, sensing trouble, J&K skipper appealed for bad light which the umpires honoured.
Earlier, resuming their innings from overnight score of 86 for one today, Delhi gave fillip to their innings bringing the score to 433 for seven before they declared their innings after tea break.
While Gourav made 109 runs, Chander Thapa remained unbeaten at 102. Prashant Bhandari also played well and contributed 63 runs to the score. Amir Ashraf took two wickets for J&K.
