After reaching the final without playing even a single game, the Government College for Women (GCW) Parade will take on the combined side of PG Departments in the final tomorrow.
Whereas after getting bye in the first round, PG Departments reached the final beating Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar 4-0 in the one-sided contest today.
Ruby scored the first goal for the winners in the 14th minute, followed by the second goal through Sonia Dutta in the 32nd minute thereby making it a 2-0 lead at the end of first half.
In the second half, Ruchika Sharma made a solo effort to add the third goal in the 42nd minute of the match. The lead was improved by Sonia Dutta, who scored her second goal in the 53rd minute to make it a one-sided match. PG girls show their complete domination on the field with 14 penality corners awarded in their favour but due to lack of experience non of them was converted into goals.
Now, in the final, PG Departments shall take on GCW Parade in the final tomorrow at 10 am. Today’s match was officiated by PD Singh, Jasbir Singh, Veena Chib and Gurmeet Kour. |
