| RR organizes medical-veterinary camp | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 7 The 16 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of 6 Sector RR organized a medical cum veterinary camp at village Sailan today at which nearly 600 patients of different age groups from Sailan, Banikhet, Haliyar, Jabri, Barawan, Kumli, Doba, Chaora, Mochi Mohalla, Kudar, Gandhi-Kas, Habib Ka Ban, Dedar Katha, Tiali Katha, Surma Dhok, Raina Kashi, Taarnia and adjoining villages availed of the facilities provided by a team of doctors and other medical staff from the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Health Department Tehsildar and Block Medical Officer, Surankot also addressed the people. Apart from the health related problems which were looked after by the medical agencies, there were several other stalls set up by ROMEO FORCE and allied government agencies. An endeavour was made to resolve the problems faced by residents of the area. The residents were also informed of various schemes being run by the Central and State governments for their betterment. On this occasion, the Commanding Officer of the Battalion and Company Commanders also gave a patient hearing to the problems projected by the residents. The locals were also educated about health and hygiene treatment of common ailments, importance of personal hygiene, child immunization and several other health related issues. The camp opened with a cultural programme presented by school children from various schools of the area and finally concluded with the distribution of prizes to students by Commander 6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. Meal was organized for one and all who attended the camp.
