Adbi Kunj organized a special function at its literary center to honour Dr. Yousaf Usmani, an eminent poet, writer and educationist of Aurangabad (Maharashtra) during his visit to Adbi Kunj office here the other day. The function was presided over by Dr. Usmani while the proceedings were conducted by Talib Kashmiri,
In his welcome address President Adbi Kunj Shab Talib introduced Dr. Usmani and expressed his gratitude for attending Adbi Kunj’s literary meet. He on the occasion highlighted some of his literary achievements.
In today’s meet condolences were expressed over the demise of well known Writer, Film-maker and Director Ali Raza and the speakers threw light on the outstanding contribution of the deceased in field of activity.
On the occasion Muni Lal Puri presented Urdu sketch titled “Aakhri Jang Azeem Banaam Qayamat”. This was followed by the weekly poetic meet in which Dr. Yousaf Usmani, Suresh Rahi, Talib Kashmiri, Tariq Ali Raza, Rahat Hussain, Nargis Sitara, Syed Sibbte Raza, Ayodhaya Rani Gamkhwar, Malik Abdul Latif, Rajeev Kumar, Romesh Rahi, Kimit Lal Deevana, Rajeshwar Bhakri and Sham Talib. The meet ended with the vote of thanks presented by Jaswant Singh. |
