| CII, IMS organizes workshop on ‘Campus to Corporate’ | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 7 In order to give fillip to the final year MBA students a one day workshop on campus to corporate was organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) here today. Addressing the students, Commissioner Secretary, higher education, Pramod Jain applauded the initiative of CII and Jamwal Group of Institutes in organizing a very relevant workshop on campus to corporate for Institute of Management Sciences. He further said that CII is vibrant, active and throbbing in the state and he would like to see CII organize more such workshops not only the management students but even for government officials, bureaucrats and member of academia. He further said that Government will give all assistance to CII in its endeavors. Jain said that a routing MBA curriculum requires special seminars, training sessions and industry interface so that the gaps in the curriculum gets filled up. He further said that the need of the hour was to add quality into the existing Engineering and Management Institutes rather than allowing their adhoc growth. He also said that there was a need to take a stock of the best practices followed in the educational institutes so that the same could be documented and passed on. Earlier, Sanjay Puri, Chairman CII J&K State Council in his welcome address said, that the aim of the workshop was to focus on the development of a positive self image, developing the intra-personal intelligence and to give to the young students an insight into norms of the corporate world. He further said that IIMs are planning to change their curriculum keeping in view the changed requirements of the industry. Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman, Jamwal group of Institutes give a brief introduction on the courses agreed by the institutes run under the banner of Jamwal group of Institutes. He thanked CII for organizing the workshop through which the MBA aspirants should get benefited in the horizon. Among others who attend the workshop includes Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Anil Suri and Rajesh Jain. |
