Jammu | Nov 10
Government is contemplating to construct the state of Art Yatri Bahwan at Jammu for Amarnath pilgrims to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims in comfortable and befitting manner.
This was stated by the Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak at Vijaypur while laying foundation of various developmental projects in the block. He said that government was seriously thinking to construct such projects that would provide fast benefits to the people.
Addressing a gathering at Vijaypur, Minister called upon the office bearers of his party to make people aware of the achievements made by the government during last two years. He said that on the instruction of UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Chief Minister Ghulam
Nabi Azad has launched a massive developmental programme in every sector in all the three regions of the state to bring J&K at par with other states on developmental front. He said that "it is our moral duty to aware the people about the massive development programmes started by the Azad government".
Charak said that under fast track developmental programme a large number of mega projects taken up during last two years are nearing completion. He said most of these projects would be dedicated to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in coming months. He said that the big projects, which were normally completed five to seven years are now being completed within 14 to 18 months under double and triple shift work system. He said this shows the seriousness of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to bring the State back on the track of development and realize the dream of khushal J&K.
Saying that the people's involvement is necessary for prosperity, Mr. Charak stressed upon the people to keep an eye on all the developmental projects under execution in their vicinity so that the liberal fundings provided by the Central Government for upgradation of infrastructure base in J&K would be used judiciously.
Among others who spoke on the occasion includes Ex-MLA Bhagat Gouri Shankar, working President PCCI Mr. Sodagar Gupta, General Secretary Mr. Som Nath, Master Janak Raj, Mr. Sukhdev Choudhery and Master Mali Ram.
