| 3-day scouts, guides camp concludes | | | Early Times Reporter

As part of its continued endeavor of getting children into the mainstream, 40 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Romeo Force, organized a 3-day ‘Scouts and Guides Camp’ at Shri Budha Amarnath Temple ground, which, besides, over 300 students, was attended by school teachers and prominent personalities. Various activities were organized under guidance of instructors from Bharat Scouts and Guides, Surankot.
The camp concluded today with a grand ceremony attended by Commander 6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and prominent citizens of the area. The students presented various cultural programs and were made to undergo a plethora of different activities ranging from cooking, survival training national integration, health, humanitarian aspects and peaceful co-existence during the course of the camp.
Prizes to outstanding students and stationery items to all participants marked the closing of the camp.
The children, teachers and parents were very happy with the conduct of the camp and expressed their gratitude to the organizers for holding such an educative and grand event, which will go a long way in prompting a sense of patriotism and oneness in the younger generation and foster in them love for the motherland. |
