| Raja is not connected with the NGO: Akash Amin Bhat | | |
SRINAGAR, AUG 21, : Chairman of the Kashmir Press Service and the Printer Publisher, Proprietor of Daily Tameel-I- Irshad and Daily Amroze Kashmir has termed the arrest of Raja Mohidin and he being framed in Handwara sex abuse scam as deep rooted conspiracy, he has denied that Raja was associated with the Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Women’s Organization and Art center.
Akash Amin Bhat, while clarifying his stand said, “A deep rooted conspiracy has been hatched against the daily Tameel-I- Irshad by the vested interest people to tarnish the image of the newspaper. Daily Tameel-I- Irshad has gained popularity among the masses for the courageous and fair reporting, however, some people with the vested interests are hell bent upon ruining the image of the newspaper and for carrying forward their nefarious designs, these people have launched malicious propaganda against the organization.”
Bhat further said, “As a part of the conspiracy on 19th August 2006, famous journalist and social worker, Raja Mohiudin was detained by the Handwara Police on the charges of being involved in the Handwara sex scandal.” He added, “ section of the press has been reporting that Raja was arrested by the police at Kulangam, however, the fact is that Raja was not arrested., he had gone to his ancestral house at Handwara for routine Sunday Public meet.” He added, “Raja on every Sunday used to meet the people from his area, who used to approach him with their problems. His growing popularity in the North Kashmir has been haunting many people with the vested interests.”
Bhat further said , “on Saturday, i.e. 19th of August around 7:00 pm., Superintendent of Police (SP), Handwara called Raja to his office to discuss the infamous sex scandal, however, Handwara police detained him there and he is being framed as the ‘main accused’ in the infamous Handwara Sex abuse scam.” He added, “ This news came as shock to us and we are yet to come at terms with it.”
Bhat further said, “we want to convey it to our esteemed readers and common public that there is not even the iota of truth about the allegations, which have been leveled against Raja Mohidin. However, investigations are on and law is taking its own course and truth will come to the fore along with the passage of time.”
Stating that Raja was no where connected with NGO, Bhat said, “Section of the press has been reporting that Raja was heading the Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Women’s Organization and Art center, however, the fact is that Raja is no where connected with the NGO.”
