| Nasir Ali, Karbalaie tours border villages | | | Early Times Reporter Kargil | Nov 10 Minister for Social Welfare Nassir Ali and Chairman CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Asgar Ali Karbalae along with Executive Counciloor and a teams of district Officers visited Border Villages of Majdass, Badgam, Harral, Karkicho, Chanigund, Hardass today for on spot assessment of on going development works and to address the grievances of the genuine public demands at their door steps and met with the people of these villages and acquainted themselves with the problems confronting by villagers. The Councillor Akhon Hassan on behalf of villagers put forth charter of demands to the Minister and CEC, which includes immediate completion of Badgam road, posting of Doctor and teachers to Medical and education institutions, erection of new transformer for Badgam village,up-gradation of High School Chanigund to Higher Secondary School and improvement of irrigation Khuls, Hardass etc. Responding to various demands, Karbalaie said that Hill Council, Kargil will try its best to solve the problems of the public after exploring its suitability and feasibility in phased Manner, and sanctioned additional amount of Rs. 7 lakh for construction of link road Badgam. The Minister also announced sanction for 10 lacs to meet the immediate requirement of the village Badgam. At Chanigund village, it was told that Rs. 20 lakh have been spent on construction of link road Chanigund till date and the people demanded an additional fund for its completion. Keeping in view the problems of the people, Karbalaie announced additional funds for Rs. 20 lakh for improvement of irrigation khuls at Hardass. While addressing the people, the Minister Nassir Ali said Sethang Irrigation canal. Hardass is in active consideration by the present government and hoped the same will be sanctioned soon along with the other such five projects of different villages of Kargil district. He asked the Officers to gear up the pace of works for its timely completion. |
