| Govt responsible for exodus: PKM. | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Nov 12 Panun Kashmir Movement (PKM) today stated that they will continue their struggle against the central government untill their demand of separate homeland is not granted to them. While giving a new twist to his traditional stand of migration of Kashmiri Pandits from valley, president of PKM Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo held central government responsible for that and the mess in valley for last 18 years. "Central government is responsible for our dejected condition and turbulent times in Kashmir since 1989," said Chrungoo, while addressing a press conference here today. Today's press meeting was the first ever press conference in valley by PKM. "GoI has totally failed in addressing Kashmir issue and the problems failed by people in general and Kashmiri Pandits in particular. Our struggle will continue untill our demand of separate homeland is not recognized," he said. Chrungoo was in Srinagar along with his eight other members of the organization, in connection with the commencement of Sankalap Yatra – a month long yatra started by PKM from Srinagar and will conclude in Jammu after traveling to nine states and two union territories of India. "This is a symbolic initiative to start a new phase of our movement in Kashmir. We dedicated it in respect of the youth who were killed during the last 18 years of violence," he said. Meanwhile, PKM leaders visited UNO office in Srinagar and presented a document named "Kashmir Documentation: Pandits in Exile". The PKM, as per its president is along with every movement that could lead Kashmir into an era of peace. |
