| RR organizes Gaurav Senani rally | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 12 An Ex-servicemen (Gaurav Senani) rally for the ex-servicemen, including retired persons of Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Veer Naris, was organized at Mendhar, by 37 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of ROMEO FORCE today. The rally aimed at providing varied facilities to the ex-servicemen was inaugurated by Brigadier DS Negi, Commander 14 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. On this occasion X-ray, EGC and laboratory facilities, besides, medical check by the Surgeon, Physician, Ophthalmologist, Dentist were also provided to the needy. BDO Mendhar briefed the audience about soil conservation, rain water harvesting and sanitation. Muzaffar Ahmed Peer, SDM Mendhar appreciated the initiative taken by 37 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (Punjab) for providing such a occasion for the benefit of the ex-servicemen residing in border areas. Speaking on the occasion, Brig DS Negi, Commander 14 Sector Rashtriya Rifles said, “we are committed to the welfare of the ex-servicemen who have rendered their invaluable services for the nation. He emphasized the need for collective effort on the part of the Army and Civil administration for a better post retirement life of the Gaurav Senanis and Veer Naris. The rally, besides, providing facilities to the retired soldiers has also strengthened civil-military cooperation. |
