| Div Com discusses distribution of relief to Jammu, Talwara migrants | | | Early Times Reporter

On the instructions of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Chief Secretary, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Mr Sudhanshu Pandey today convened a meeting regarding distribution of relief and ration to the Jammu migrants including Talwara migrants.
Secretary Revenue and Relief Commissioner, Migrants and other senior officers of Relief and Revenue departments were also present.
In the meeting, Divisional Commissioner asked the Relief Commissioner Migrants to release Rs.45 lakh to the Deputy Commissioner Reasi to meet out expenditure on account of relief and ration to the Jammu migrants including Talwara for two months i.e October and November 2007 in the first instance. Although funds on this account are yet to be released by the Government of India.
He informed that with regard to release of arrears has already been taken up with GOI and funds on his account are expected to be released soon. He asked the Relief Commissioner Migrants to immediately print fresh registration forms which are relevant to Jammu migrants and distribute the same amongst them for registration immediately.
He said that bonafide migrants are advised to approach concerned Deputy Commissioner and Tehsildar for registration so that they are provided relief and ration forthwith. |
