| Kundal inaugurates new J&K Bank complex in Civil Sectt | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 12 Appreciating the Jammu and Kashmir Bank for successfully competing the challenges in corporate sector for its managerial capacity, Chief Secretary Mr. B. R. Kundal asked the Bank to be more responsive to people in rural and back ward areas. Kundal was inaugurating new building of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank (Moving Branch) inside the Civil Secretariat complex here today. He said with provision of Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and E-banking facility in the Secretariat branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank, it has become more costumer friendly. He hoped that new spacious building equipped with latest banking technologies and having modern and professional interior layout would increase the working efficacy. He said progress of the bank is evident from fact that lately price of its shares have grown appreciably high. Central Zone Vice President of the Bank Mr. G. G. Sawhney said that presently there are total 553 branches of the bank across the country. He said business of the bank has zoomed tremendously and on 30.09.2007 its total business turnover has touched Rs 44055.72 crore. Manager of the Branch Mr. Rayaz Ahmad Wani presented the vote of thanks on the occasion. Among others, Principal Secretary General Administration Department Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Ganai and Commissioner Secretary Finance Mr. B. B. Vyas attended the function. |
