| BJP leader flay Govt for raw deal to fair sex | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 12 State Unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha has blamed the ruling coalition govt led by Ghulam Nabi Azad for a bias against fair sex. Addressing a press conference here today BJP Mahila Morcha state unit chief Usha Choudhary told mediamen,"though Chief Minister says that his government is all-inclusive and fair to everyone but it is evident that Congress-led government has no regards for the female population, which constitutes half of the state’s population". BJP leader said Azad’s council of ministers does not have a single female minister adding that womenfolk in Jammu and Kashmir is the most neglected lot. Expressing grave concern over the price situation in the state, Mahila Morcha chief said rising prices has made it impossible for the housewives to manage the kitchen but no one is addressing the issue. She said we consider this price rise as a total failure of the economic policies of the government, which at the centre is headed by no other than a reknowned economist Dr. Manmohan Singh . Raising the issue of unemployment, Choudhary said women in state is facing serious trouble because of the acute unemployment problem, especially in Jammu region, where the unemployment rate has touched 69.20 per cent point as against less then 30 per cent in Kashmir.
