Annual inter-college chess (men and women) tournament shall start from November 19 under the banner of Department of Physical Education at Gymnasium hall of the University of Jammu, here.
In men’s section 16 teams have confirmed their entries, including the defending champion, PG Departments. The four-day event will conclude on November 22, said Assistant Director Physical Education, Dr Sonam Angchuk.
He further disclosed that the department has received 10 entries in women’s section mostly from city colleges.
As per the laid down rules, a team may consist of a maximum of six players (including two reserves) but only four shall be allowed to participate in the competition. |
