| Busy Sinha takes out time to pen down his days in Raj Bhawan | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 12 Governor, S K Sinha, is considered to be the most proactive constitutional head of the state after Jagmohan. Jagmohan had to be on his feet because he was not only the constitutional but the executive head of the state during the Governor’s rule imposed in Jammu and Kashmir soon after the rise of militancy in 1990. Sinha has toured various areas in the state, including all the forward zones, during his current tenure. He had even visited the Siachen glacier in Ladakh, considered to be the world’s highest battlefield. He has been the only Governor who has presided over school and college functions and remained conspicuous by the presence in cultural events. Despite his busy schedule he has been spending several hours on reading books and magazines, most of them pertaining to current political affairs and warfare. Presently he is busy writing a book on his days in the Raj Bhawan. Sources close to him said that he intends finishing the book before he hung his boots in June 2008, in case he was not given extension. Sources said that Sinha was not keen in extending his stay in the state but in case his services were required for pulling Jammu and Kashmir out of the current political and security mess he would accept extension offer.
