Government Degree College Udhampur shall take on Degree College Kathua in the final of inter-college men’s chess tournament.
Earlier, in the semi-finals played today, Udhampur defeated SPMR College of Commerce 3-1 while Kathua College outplayed PG Departments 2.5-1.5 points.
The detailed results:
Degree College Udhampur bt Commerce College 3-1: Vishal Sharma bt Daniel Raj; Karan Singh bt Sanchit Batta; Puneet Sharma bt Sandeep Singh; Bhanu Partap lost to Sumit Grover.
Degree College Kathua bt PG Departments: Yashod Sharma bt Varun Mahajan; Ishan Gupta bt Eshan Mahajan; Pankaj Kumar drew with Gurpal; Arvind Sharma lost to Karan Khosa.
Today’s matches were officiated by S P Sharma, Sushil Sawhney, Dinesh Rajput and PD Singh. |
