The 2nd edition of the book titled value added tax in Jammu and Kashmir authored by renewed taxation lawyer advocate V.K Grover at a function by finance minister Tariq Hameed Qara in Jammu today. B.B Vyas, principal secretary finance, was to guest of honour on the occasion.
Qarra lauded the efforts made by the author in bringing out exhaustive commentary on vat in the book and hoped that the book compilation shall extend requisite help to those connected with implementation of Vat in J&K.
Bashir Ahmed, commissioner commercial tax in a foreword to the book has hoped that the present book will be helpful to the tax authorities, dealers, tax-professions etc. V.K Grover the author while addressing the audience informed that the book contains detailed knowledge of important aspects of vat like why it was introduced, difference as compared to sales tax, definitions of important terms with case laws on each Subjects etc. Other who were present include Abdul Hamid, Commissioner excise, Ram Sahai, present, CCI, B.S Salathia, president, Jammu Bar association, Yashpaul Gupta, Sat Mehta, R.K. Gupta, Anil Suri, Romesh Gupta, T.S Ram and others. |
