| HC dismisses criminal revision in question paper leakage case | | HC dismisses criminal revision in leakage of MBBS/MD/MS question papers | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 22 Justice Virender Singh of J&K High Court, Jammu Wing, in a much publicized leakage of question papers of MBBS/MD/MS examination conducted by the BOPEE in which along other accused persons, petitioners Rohit Dhawan and Vikas Dhawan real brothers r/o Ludhiana Punjab, are also involved, has dismissed criminal revision. The petitioners accused in the present petition are seeking anticipatory bail in FIR 11/2004 registered by the Police Station Crime Branch Jammu u/s 420, 120-B RPC and 5(2) PC Act 2006. While dismissing the petition, Justice Virender Singh observed that initially the instant petition was registered as bail application, subsequently vide order of November 3, 2007, this Court had directed the Registry to register it as criminal revision. Record reveals that notice was issued to the State way back in October, 2005 and objections have already been filed by it. Trial Court records were also summoned which revealed that petitioners have lost interest in prosecuting the instant petition. However, Court after going through the averments made in the petition, the objections filed and other documents attached. Is of the view that no ground for relief sought is made out and consequently the petition is dismissed. JNF |
