| Ex-Prison employees highlight demands | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 22 A deputation of J&K Prisons retired Employees Welfare association under the Chairmanship of its President Krishan Singh & General Secretary Sharat Chander Sharma met Deputy Inspector General of Prison Sahibzada Rafiqu Ahmad. A memorandum, addressed to DG, Prisons was handed over to him. The memorandums reiterating its demand for convening 2nd Annual Prison meet soon. They also stressed upon that the conclusions arrived at in the first ever such meet held in March 2003 have partially been processed and demanded issuance of identity cards to the re tired Prison employees as prescribed in the state government providing, providing OPD facilities in nearby Jails reservation of quot as for their wards in professional training departmental recruitment and framing welfare rules for the retired as well as in service prison personnel on police pattern. The D.I.G assumed them that he will take up the matter with D.G. Prisons and Administrative department, for speedy action. Among who participated in the meting were senior staff officers S. Gurdeep Singh and Administrative officer J.M. Fazil. |
