| NC workers of Kandi area by hold meet | | | Early Times Reporter

A meeting of prominent National Conference (NC) workers of Kandi area of Tehsil Hiranagar and Kathua was held at Kathua under the Presidentship of Ajit Kumar Sharma here today.
While addressing the workers ex-MLC Th. Kashmira Singh asked the workers to mobilize public opinion and highlighted the problems of Kandi area. He said people of these areas have been neglected by the present state government for the last years. All the developmental works are stand still, youth are unemployed and there is great scarcity of drinking water. He said Singh criticized the charging of exorbitant rates of the govt. land and prices of the Kachha houses built on the govt. land under the Roshin Act. For the poor farmers. These poor farmers are forced to pay corruption to the revenue officials to get the benefit under the scheme.
