| Lecture on Diabetic Management held | | | Early Times Reporter Udhampur | Nov 22 In carrying over the Continued Medical Education (CME) programme, the Academic Club at District Hospital, Udhampur organized a lecture on ‘Diabetes Management” today. The programme started with cutting of a sugar free cake jointly by the Medical Superintendent, Dr. M.H. Malik and Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Arun Sharma. The session was attended by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. B.B. Sharma, CMO BSF STC Training Centre, Dr. Lalwani, District Immunization Officer, Dr. Santosh Sharma, Medical Officer STC BSF, Doctors and Staff of District Hospital. Rosily George, National Diabetic Trainer Johnson and Johnson, delivered a detailed lecture on the subject throwing light on root cause of this disease, precautionary steps required for prevention, control and treatment. A demonstration on the use of “Glucometer” supplied by the Company was also given on the occasion. Sugar test of the staff and prominent persons present there was also conducted with this machine to test the effectiveness of this machine. Rohit Nargotra, Representative Johnson and Johnson highly praised the efforts of Hospital Administration for organizing especially of Dr. Arun Sharma for holding workshops, seminars and lectures in the hospital which prove beneficial for medical fraternity professionals in updating their knowledge and skill. Dr. Arun Sharma in his welcome address thanked all the distinguished participants of the session. |
