Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 22 Zahir Abass Bhatti All India Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation has urged upon the government to look after the problems being faced by the disabled persons in the state. In a meeting Bhatti demanded implementation of Disability Act 1198, three percent reservation jobs, appointment of state executive and state co-ordination committees for the disabled in J&K. He further added that appointment of disability commissioner, concession in transport fare for the disabled persons, state building code should be implemented, and all public places should be made disabled friendly so that disabled my feel that they are part of society. Bhatti said that the main purpose of the Foundation is highlighting the genuine demands of persons with disabilities and to give voice to their problems.
