| Sagar directs for timely completion of on going schemes | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 22 Minister of State for Finance and Planning Prem Sagar Aziz who is currently on a two day extensive tour of his constituency visited villages Siara, Sarthali, Bani and Panaylog villages of Bani and inspect ed several development works being executed there. Among others, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bani Ravi Kant Verma, Tehsil and block level officers, besides party workers accompanied the Minister during the tour. Sagar sanctioned Rs. one lakh for the development works in villages Siara and Rs..50 lakh for construction of compound wall of Government Middle School, Sarthli. Meanwhile, the Minister chairing a meeting of PDD officers discussed the issues regarding acquisition of land for grid station at Chanog and also inaugurated week long farmer's training camp under Technology Mission at Panaylog. The Minister directed PHE engineers to complete the ongoing schemes in the area so that safe drinking water is provided to the people. The Minister informed that the government is planning to open a Kenderiya Vidyala for the children of Basohli, Billawar and Bani. He also announced Kasturba Gandhi School in the area to facilitate the children of SC and ST communities. Later, the Minister distributed 21 cheques amounting Rs 15,000 and Rs 6,000 among the beneficiaries under IAY Earlier, the Minister inaugurated a water supply scheme at village Siara completed at a cost of Rs. 72 lakh benefiting a population of over 2500 people living in the surrounding villages including Siara, Khadi, Kardoh, Saparoo, Katoon, Mothli, Bhir, Pepri, Jhamoud, Mandole and Chandera. |
