| Shopkeeper burns to death, decayed corpse recovered | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 22 While a shopkeeper burnt to death when all of a sudden fire broke out in his shop at Kishtwar during intervening night of November 21-22, a partially decomposed body of a seventy year old man was fished out from a Trikuta Nagar canal. Police Sources told Kashmir Media Trust that a shopkeeper was roasted alive in a fire that broke out in his shop during last night. The deceased was sleeping in the shop when fire engulfed it providing him no chance to escape, police said. The shop belonged to Shahjan Ahmed Son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Mandi at present Hasti Kishtwar. The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmed and police have taken up investigations in this regard. Meanwhile a partly decayed body of a seventy year old man has been recovered from a posh locality of the city. Police Spokes man told KMT that a body of an elderly man was fished out from a canal near marble Market Ext 1, East of Trikuta Nagar. The body has been taken to GMC Jammu for postmortem and identification. Police have registered a case. |
