| One booked for possessing illegal liquor | | | Doda, Aug. 21:
In continuation to its drive against marketing malpractices, the police here booked one person under excise act for illegally possessing liquor. During patrolling and frisking at Nehru Chowk, the police party stopped one person on suspicion, whose luggage was found carrying 12 bottles Bonny Scot (whisky) illegally, which was seized and the person arrested.The accused has been identified as Swami Raj S/O Saran DAS R/O Dandian Miohalla Doda. An FIR No. 127/ 2006 U/S 48 Excise Act has been registered in P/S Doda, a police handout from the police here said.
