| Construction of Rs 5 Cr SDH Pakharpora | | | Early Times Reporter

A meeting to review the pace of ongoing works in health sector in Chadoora and Charar-i-Sharief was held under the Chairmanship of Chairman J&K Legislative Council Mr. Ghulam Nabi Lone.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Health, Peer Mohammad Hussain, Director Health Services, Dr. Muzaffar Ahmad, Deputy Director Planning, Health, General Manager, JKPCC, concerned DGMs of JKPCC, Executive Engineer, Truck terminal Srinagar and other concerned senior officers.
The meeting was briefed about the construction of various sub-district hospital buildings and public health centre buildings. Health Sub-District Hospital, Charar-i-Sharief is near completion at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 crore and the construction of sub-district hospital Pakharpora will be started soon at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore under NABARD funding, the meeting was told.
It was informed that three Primary Health Centre Buildings namely, Primary Health Centre Suresyar,PHC Huffarroo, Batpora and PHC Rangar will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 crore by the end of this year, the residential quarters for the doctors and staff will be completed by the end of current financial year.
Chairman thanked the Minister and the officers of the Health department for regular funding for these projects. He also lauded the role of engineers for speedy and genuine use of funds available for these projects. The Minister directed the Director Health Services, Kashmir to construct the same out of the funds to the tune of Rs 20 lakh available under NRHM scheme at Pakharpora till the construction of sub-district hospital building. |
