| Wait Plz: CID wing is without officers | | 5 districts await SSPs, SSP Jammu is still `Incharge' | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 23 Wait, if you want a CID clarification report as the department is running without two key officers. While the growing tussle between the coalition alliances was delaying posting of Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) for the newly carved districts of the state, one of the premier wing of Jammu and Kashmir police, Crime Investigation Department (CID) was functioning without two key officers. In contrary to the slogan of work culture by chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad five newly curved districts of the state are functioning without Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), while SSP Jammu continue to work as `Incharge'. Well informed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that post of ADG (CID) and SSP (CID) Jammu remained vacant since the elevation of Kuldeep Khuda as DGP and Alok Puri as DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, respectively. The vacancies have severally affected the functioning of the premier wing of the state police, sources said. Any one who joins the government service is not paid his salaries until a clarification repot is received from the CID wing, sources told NAK adding, number of such files were pending in Jammu waiting posting of SSP. Besides work regarding clarification for Passport and other similar files have accumulated in large number in the office of SSP Jammu, which is without any officer. Similarly, the government has also failed to appoint a full time SSP Jammu. Parminder Singh was given charge of SSP Jammu after the transfer of Mukesh Singh. The officer continues to work as incharge till now. If sources in the civil secretariat are to be believed the number of proposals were formulated for filling of posts of SSPs in the newly created districts. However, all these proposals have received cold shoulder from the cabinet ministers who were looking to have their own man of choice for the coveted posts. |
