| Justice Mir sworn in | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 23 Acting Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Justice Nisar Ahmed Kakru today administered oath to Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir as Additional Judge of State High Court for a period of two years.
Earlier Registrar General Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Dar read the warrants of elevation of notification issued by the President of India and Ministry of Law & Justice, Govt of India and also read the letter of authorization issued by the Governor of J&K whereby authorizing Acting Chief Justice NA Kakru to administer oath of office to Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir. At this occasion of Justice Nirmal Singh, Justice Virender Singh, Justice YP Nargotra, Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir, Justice BA Kirmani, Justice JP Singh, Advocate General Mr. AH Naik, Retired Judges of High Court and Judicial Officers of State including the members of Bar Association Jammu. The 50 years old Mohammad Yaoob Mir presently Principal Sessions Judge Srinagar has been elevated as Additional Judge of the State High Court with the elevation of MY Mir the strength of the State High Court raised 9 whereas the sanction strength of the State High Court is 14 Judges. The present position of Judges including the Acting Chief Justice, 6 Judges are permanent and two Additional Judges, with the elevation of MY Mir the strength of Additional Judges goes to three |
