| DDC Rajouri holds public darbar near LOC | | | Early Times Reporter Rajouri | Nov 25 Accompanied by a team of District Officers, DDC Rajouri Rafiq Sheikh today conducted public darbar at Tunditrar for resolving the problems confronting people on the spot. Tunditrar village falling in Manjakote block is situated near Line of actual control. While putting forth the demands of the area, DDC was apprised that Tunditrar one of the remotest Panchyat is absolutely deprived of basic amenities like electricity, drinking water facility, road connectivity and schooling facilities. They demanded up-gradation of Primary school, creation of medical aid centre, veterinary centre and construction of roads, etc. Responding to the demands of locals, the DDC said that proposal for construction of three link road under PMGSY has been sent for approval. The road included 8 Km Mubarakpura to Sohana with an estimate cost of Rs. 268.25 lac, Doongi to Namlan 4 Km with the estimate cost of 170.99 lac and Pollulian to Tunditrar 6 Km would be taken in hand shortly. He also assured construction of additional 2 rooms in the school next year and asked the people to identify the places where ponds could be developed. Sheikh called for maintaining close relation with army as well as civil administration so that the area is developed speedily. He advised the army authorities to provide these people with the basic amenities under Sadbhawana Programme. The people also demanded inclusion of historical Ramgarh fort at Veerbhadereshwar in the tourist map as both the points have a scenic beauty. |
