Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today hosted lunch in honour of the Vice President,. Muhammad Hamid Ansari at the Royal Springs Golf Course here.
Mrs. Salma Hamid Ansari, Governor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) S. K. Sinha, Mrs. Premini Sinha, Mrs. Shamim Azad, former Chief Ministers Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Acting Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Justice N. A. Kakroo, Chairman, Legislative Council, G. N. Lone, Ministers Abdul Aziz Zargar and Tariq Hameed Karra, Chief Secretary, B. R. Kundal, Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda, GOC 15 Corps, Lt. Gen. Mukesh Sabharwal, Vice Chancellors of Kashmir University, Jammu University, SKUAST Kashmir and SKUAST Jammu and senior civil and police officers attended.
Earlier, the Vice President had a feel of the Royal Springs Golf Course by playing a 7-hole. The Governor and the Chief Minister also joined him.
Later, concluding his 2-day visit to the valley, Ansari left for New Delhi in the afternoon. During his stay here, he addressed the 4th convocation of SKUAST-Kashmir besides visiting the Hazratbal Shrine and the famous Nishat Garden. |
