| JKNPP demands probe into Kishtwar food scam | | | KISHTWAR AUG 21- Demanding in-depth probe into the alleged large scale bungling in Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department in various parts of Kishtwar of Doda district, District President J&K National Panthers Party Joginder Singh has alleged that the employees of the department have misappropriated crores of rupees by clandestinely selling government ration especially meant for the BPL category in the open market. In a hand out Bhandari has alleged that during the period from 1989-2005 the employees have sold about 84321 quintals of food grains in the market and the storekeepers and salesmen have amassed property worth of crores of rupees both at Kishtwar and Jammu. He has demanded immediate seizure of the property of the involved employees besides replacing the local staff. He has sought Chief Minister’s personal intervention for ordering a CBI or a Vigilance probe into the alleged food scam in Kishtwar
