Jammu | Nov 25
Strongly condemning the terrorist attack on lawyers in Court premises in Utter Pradesh, state BJP leader and a senior advocate Onkar Seth has pleaded for total review of the policies adopted to tackle the menace of terrorism as present approach is proving little deterrent for the ultras being guided and aided by religious fundamentalists from within and outside the country.
Seth in this regard particularly referred to the flaws in the current anti-terror laws and said there is great need to provide more teeth to the prevailing ones or restore POTA again.
Pointing towards Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP leader said there have been about 70,000 incidents of terrorist violence and over 30,000 persons arrested on various charges but there was not a single case in which of the terrorists could got scot free so much so that even the persons held up for massacres got freedom because of certain legal flaws.
