| LeT militant killed in encounter | | | Early Times Reporter

A joint team of police and army today killed one hardcore militant while one another manage to escape from the spot with the help of thick jungle in an encounter at Village Narin in the Mahore area of Reasi district and recovered some arms ammunition from the spot.
On a specific information about presence of militants in the area, the joint team launched an operation during which the militants opened fire on the party which was retaliated and during the two hour gun fight the joint party managed to kill one militant while the other flee from the spot. Joint team has also recovered one AK 56 rifle, 4 magazines, 75 AK rounds, one grenade, and one Nokia mobile phone with Airtel simcard and some documents from the spot. The slain militant was identified as Mohd Rafiq Sheikh code Abu Haider son of Gulam Ahmed Sheikh resident of Ladh Gulab Garh. |
