| Panthers Party ridicules Tarigami’s third front plan | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 26 Ridiculing the idea of third front being floated by the CPIM leader Mohammed Yusuf Tarigami, a senior leader and MLA of Panthers Party Harshdev Singh that “ Tarigami has simply invited the Hurriyat Conference leaders to join the front when the political ideology of the APHC is known.” He said “I fail to understand what has prompted Tarigami to dish out his plan when during the last over five and a half years he has been supporting the coalition Government’. He said “I do not think the third front can be a viable political forces if National and other major political groups are not included in it.” Asked if the Panthers Party will join the third front when it is formed Harsh Dev Singh said “let us first see the shape and programme of the front.” Hasrh Dev Singh, while referring to the ongoing revision of the electoral rolls, said that “it is unfortunate that people in the villages have not been informed,” adding that “during his extensive tour of rural areas in the Jammu region he was told that people had no information about the programme. He suggested to the Election Commission to take in hand measures aimed to educating people on the need for including their names in the electoral rolls. In reply to another question he claimed that the anti- incumbency wave had gripped the entire state. He said during series of public meetings, the Panthers Party held in Doda and Reasi districts, the anger of people against non-performance of the coalition Government was writ large on their faces. He ridiculed Chief Minister for having assigned to himself the role of a Patwari by distributing ownership rights to people under the Roshni Act .He said that since the Chief Minister had nothing else to sell to the people he has been trying to draw political mileage from distribution land ownership papers to people. |
