| Court rejects bail application in fake certificate case | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 26 Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu, Mr. Sanjeev Gupta dismissed bail application of Parveen Kousar d/o Bashir Khan who managed her appointment in the police department on fake education certificate. Parveen Kousar, apprehending her arrest in a case registered against her by Crime Branch Jammu u/s 420/467/468/471 applied for the bail in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate. Chief Prosecuting Officer appearing for the Crime Branch submitted that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required as she had succeeded in getting employment as constable in the police department on the basis of fake middle pass certificate from Government High School Khawaja Poonch. The principal of the said school has reported that the name of the petitioner has not been recorded in the school record except having a cutting made on some other name for substitution of her name in the school record. CJM, after hearing both the sides, held that in the opinion of the Court, the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner is pre-mature and moreover petitioner has not surrendered in the Court when bail application was called for hearing rather her advocate was present. The custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required to arrive at the conclusion as to how and from whom she got the fake middle pass certificate, the court said and with these. Observations it dismissed the bail application. JNF |
