| PDP hail hike in SPOs salary | | | JAMMU AUG-21- Appreciating the Central Government’s decision to enhance the salary of the Special Police Officers (SPOs) to Rs.3000 per month against Rs.1500 at present, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded regularization of those PSOs who are educated and physically fit. This demand was made at a daylong convention of the Party activists held at Udhampur, organized by District President Udhampur Surinder Singh Faouji. Several issues relating to strengthening of the party at the grass roots level and involving more and more people in the party fold were discussed and it was decided to launch membership drive from first of next month. Reiterating its demand for self-rule the convention expressed the confidence that it would further strengthen the relations between the State and the Centre as also go a long way in improving relations between India and Pakistan. Minister for PHE Qazi Mohammed Afzal, Trilok Singh Bajwa MP, Ved Mahajan, MLC, Romesh Mottan, Ashok Sharma and several other leaders attended the convention..
