| Amitabh greets Tawi Trekkers | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 27: After a host of celebrities, including the former Chief Minister and Member Parliament, Dr Farooq Abdullah, it was the turn of doyen of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan to greet Tawi Trekkers, J&K on its silver Jubilee celebrations. In his message, the legend of Indian cinema, expressed his pleasure to learn that Tawi Trekkers had successfully completed 25 years of rigorous activity, promoting individuals into outdoor life and instilling in the a zest of adventure, general secretary of Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria told Early Times Reporter. The message read: “Breaking out of norms, traveling with a group, traveling to remote or restricted areas, trekking in the mountains and forests, is more a cultural experience than a wilderness expedition. Besides the picturesque villages inhabited by diverse ethnic groups, the natural beauty and scenery is an experience of a life time. Sport and adventure make life an exciting challenge. It gets the adrenaline flowing while maintaining a healthy body, vibrant mind and a cheerful disposition.” Mr Bachchan commended Tawi Trekkers, J&K for its admirable efforts in successfully promoting sport climbing, trekking and other related activities, for the last 25 years and has also conveyed his prayers and best wishes, informed Khajuria.
