| Young talent demands stage for performance: Aijaz | | “ Kal Jo Hamara Hai” programme held at Abhinav Theatre | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 27 “Kal Jo Hamara Hai” programme was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages with budding artist as a part of Golden Jubilee Celebrations at Abhinav Theater, Jammu here last evening. Minister of State for Higher Education Aijaz Ahmad Khan was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister ppreciated the young budding artists of the Jammu region who very successfully preformed their music programme in Dogri, Kashmiri, Punjabi and Bhaderwahi. While congratulating them he said that this memorable evening is itself an example of bright future in the field of Music and we feel proud of having such a talent of National standard. Aijaz said that the Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad is very keen to promote culture of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that several measures have been taken for the purpose adding that the main aim of the re-organization of the Cultural Academy was that hidden talent of artists belonging to far-off areas would be explored and district level music and other cultural programme are being held in this regard. He said that the young talent demands stage to display their talent. Member Legislative Council Mr. Devinder Rana also addressed the gathering. He said that the young budding artists who performed in today’s programme have the superb and quality talent which needs to be encouraged to the national level. Earlier, while welcoming the audience and distinguished guests, Secretary, Cultural Academy, Dr. Rafeeq Masoodi said that sine the Cultural Academy has started its activities as a mark of Golden Jubilee celebrations, the programmes in the field of culture, literature and art are scheduled in a special way to provide an opportunity to the collective talent in the three regions of the state. He said that after the enthralled performances by the old and established singers of the state during last few days now this evening “Kal Jo Hamara Hai” is dedicated to the youth of the state. He also informed in detail the future programmes of the Academy. The performers who presented their musical items include, Naveen Sharma, Shruti Kapoor, Rabjot Singh, Madhu Jamwal, Aman Singh Choudhary, Shamsul Nisa, Asima, Shazia, Vevek Mohan, Nidhi Kaila, Neetu Atter, Sham Manhal, Supriya Sharma and Kapil Thappa. |
