| Six gamblers arrested in Narwal area | | | Early Times Reporter

Narwal police arrested six gamblers and recovered thousand of rupees from the spot. SP South Zahid Manhas said that on a specific information that some gamblers were busy in gambling in Rajeev Nagar, Narwal, a police party led by IC/PP Narwal Vikram Sharma swung into action and raided the spot where police arrested six persons red handed. They have been identified as Balbir Singh son of Sohan Singh, Ravi Kumar son of Krishan Lal, Salim Mali son of Mustafa Malik, Thakur son of Nanak Baba, Mangal Dass son of Ram Saran and Rajinder Kumar son of Om Parkash all residents of Rajeev Nagar and recovered thousand of rupees from the spot. Police later took all the arrested persons to police station for further verification and also registered a case in this regard. Sources said police had received a large number of complaints against them that they were creating nuisance in the area for the last several months. |
