| BJP for implementation of 1994 Parliamentary Resolution | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

The BJP General secretary, Ashok Khajuria in a press conference held here today, said that ‘BJP would appreciate the working group if it could first review the results of the on going peace process between India and Pakistan.
Khajuria further said, it was the BJP which started peace process with Pakistan on the condition, that it will dismantle terror- infrastructure and camps operating in POK and Pakistan.He said the recent held meeting of working group on strengthening relations across the line of control under the Chairmanship of M.K Rasgotra raised, several points, which include implementation of unanimous resolution of parliament passed in 1994. Under this resolution India is bound to take back all the territories illegally occupied by Pakistan, include gilgit and Baltistan.
But the recent upsurge in terrorist violence on the behalf of Pakistan in Kashmir and other parts of the country resulting killing of hundreds of innocent persons is a clear proof that Pakistan is not interested in peace. He said Pakistan has taken peace process as a sign of our weakness and is bent upon to halt our development and progress. Pakistan is not interested in peace and there one solid reason to believe that Pakistan will never reform itself, he said and added that the statement of Pakistan Prime Minister on August 14, that Islamabad will continue to give moral, Political and Diplomatic support to separatists in valley slows have sincere Pakistan is in normalizing relations with India.
He said the task of working group is to suggest measures which could help in strengthen relations across LOC but in other words, it task is to suggest ways which could simplify procedures to travel across the line of control.
Khajuria said, that BJP is of the view that the time is not ripe of such venture. He said, it is the firm belief of our party that Pakistan will use such measures to promote its own interests and harm our national interests. It was BJP which started the peace process in 2004. What the BJP wants first is the elimination of terrorists and those who want to segregate the state from India on the ground that its is a muslim majority state. He strongly urges the union government to implement the 1994 resolution in letter and sprit.
