| Harshdev demands disqualification of Congress nominee | | Poonch-Havali bye-election | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 27 As the last date for withdrawal of nomination for Poonch Havali assembly bye-election is drawing near, the state Congress party has further intensified its wheedling exercise to win over the revel congress leader Yashpaul Sharma to withdraw his nomination and follow the party line. As time is very short congress party is pursing its full zip trade diplomacy to win Sharma. For this purpose party is utilizing the services of two of its MP’s and legislators to compel Yashpaul Sharma to withdraw from contest. The told refusal of Sharma has put congress leaders in fix, as the decision taken by rebal candidate has full support from people, and as such he would not disappoint his supporters as they have reposed their full faith in him. Commenting on Yashpal’s refusal, the farmer education minister and MLA, Ramnagar, Harashdev Singh while talking to ‘Early Times’ said that under Sec.132 in representation of peoples act, the official nominee of congress party from the constituency is liable for disqualification. He said, as per the definition of sec 132 of representation act, it amounts to bribery and corrupt practice. Now it is know to everybody that congress leadership is using various tacties to compel rebal candidate to with draw his name from contest. Harashdev further said, that congress leaders have promised Yashpal seat in Legislative council, beside will appoint him as chairman of Pahari Board, if he withdraws. He further said, that Panthers Party is approaching chief election commissioner of India for disqualification of congress candidate and added congress new stands exposed for its acts of omission and commission and encourages corrupt means. Complementing Yashpal Sharma for his refusal and the stand taken, expose congress party, he said. |
