| BSP likely to throw out more dissidents | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 28 Axe is likely to fall on several other BSP leaders following expulsion of Dr Sat Pal,a former president of the state unit of the party. A senior BSP leader said that Dr Sat Pal,who has been an ardent leader and worker of the BSP in Jammu,was charged with antiparty activities when his fault was that he did not contribute funds for the party coffer which were required for organizing a public rally in Jammu which was recently addressed by the BSP supreme,Ms Mayawati.He said another charge was that he did not bring a large number of workers to the rally of Mayawati.He said that actually Dr Sat Pal had played a key role in bringing a large number of party supporters from Vijaypur and adjoining areas which one could witness when was carried to the rally on shoulders by his supporters. Aware of growing dissensions in the state unit of the BSP the Praja Parishad and the BJP leadership have started wooing the disgruntled BSP workers and leaders to their organizations.A senior Praja Parishad leader said that “we are watching the scene and when more BSP leaders and workers are either expelled or they quit the party we will explore the possibility of bringing them in our organization.” Political observers said here today that after Sheikh Abdul Rehman quit the party and Dr Sat Pal was expelled the BSP would cease to be a political force in Jammu region when more workers and leaders were being expelled. |
