Apprehending the implementation of recommendations of Working Groups as to embolden anti-India forces operating in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP State President Ashok Khajuria today has criticized the National Conference, the PDP, the CPI and the CPI (M) for putting pressure on the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre to implement the recommendations of Working Groups.
In his statement Khjauria stated these recommendations, if accepted and implemented, would not only embolden the anti-India forces operating in Jammu and Kashmir but would also enable Pakistan to meddle in the affairs of the Jammu and Kashmir, thus undoing all that the Indian army has done during all these 60 years of the state’s accession to India after supreme sacrifices.
State president BJP also feared that the recommendations as contained in the Working Group Reports are so dangerous that no state worth its name could ever think in terms of implementing the same. He further categorically said that the BJP had made it loud and clear during the Round Table Conference (RTCs) deliberations that it would under no situation accept any of the recommendations as they have been designed to harm the Indian interests in Jammu and Kashmir and jeopardizing the legitimate interests of the people of Jammu and Ladakh and several other religious and ethnic minorities.
He further said the BJP had completely dissociated itself from the resolution on these anti-India recommendations moved by the Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil at the last Round Table Conference.
In the end he warned the union government particular the Congress leadership to refrain from toying with the idea of implementing the Working Group recommendations at the behest of the parties like the National Conference and the PDP.
