Police has arrested a criminal wanted in several cases of murder, smuggling and drug trafficking during a routine check up in the City, officials said on Wednesday.
During a routing checking, police intercepted Virinder Singh riding on a motor cycle, they said, adding he tried to flee but was caught after a half an hour chase.
He was wanted in over a dozen cases of murder, smuggling, drug trafficking and arms act during the past four to five years, they added.
Meanwhile, the police has also apprehended an alleged inter-state narcotics smuggler, Subhash Singh on Tuesday night and recovered five kgs of charas from his possession in the City, police said on Wednesday. |
