| Adbi Kunj holds multilingual meet | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 28 Continuing its pursuit to promote healthy and creative literary activity in J&K state, the multilingual literary organization Adbi Kunj held a special literary cum poetic meet which was presided over by an eminent Punjabi poet, lyricist and singer S. Rajpal Singh Mastana and the proceedings were compered by Talib Kashmir, Baljit Singh Raina, a Hindi and Punjabi writer and Puran Chand Bhargotra, Dogri Poet were the guests of honour on the occasion. A the outset rich tributes were paid to Guru Nanak Dev on his birth anniversary (Prakash Divas) and detailed light was thrown on his teachings. Tributes were also paid to the great peasant Saint Baba Jitto on his martyrdom day and his contribution to the values of humanity were highlighted. Dogri Poetess Usha Kiran was congratulated on the release of her 3rd poetic collection titled ‘Ghar Aa Mitran’ at the meet. In story session Talib Kashmiri presented Urdu short story titled ‘Sawab’ depicting in an effective manner the change of heart of a misguided youth turned terrorist and high values of communal brotherhood in the valley. Sham Talib also read story titled ‘Bad Nazar’. In poetic session, who recited their latest poems and ghazals included Nargis Sitara, Baljeet Raina, K.K. Shakir, Talib Kashmiri, Susheel Begana, Puran Chand Bhargotra, Jaswant Singh, Muni Lal Puri, Raj Pal Singh Mastana, Rajeev Kumar, Abdul Nayeem Sayyad, Smt. Babli, Daya Ram Daya, Ayodhaya Rain Gamkhwar and Sham Talib, Nargis Sitara, vice president, Adbi Kunj, presented vote of thanks. |
