| DDC visits far-flung area of Zanskar sub division | | | Early Times Reporter Kargil | Nov 28 The deputy commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, R.K Bhagat who was on three days extensive tour of Zanskar sub division took stock of several developmental works going on under different schemes in the area. He held public Dabar at Abran, Skyagam, Phay and Rantaksha villages for solving the problems confronting the people on the spot. He disposed of several public grievances directed to the concerned officers for immediate redressal. Bhagat was accompanied by superintending Engineer, PWD, and a team of district officers visited Lungnak area up to Rarumuney village. He also conducted public Darbar at Cha, Lunbnka, Foktal Gonpa and heard the grievances/demands of the people patiently and solved few problems on the spot. The councilor of the constituency also was present. While putting forth the demands of the area, the deputy commissioner, was apprised that Zanskar sub divisional is on the remotest sub division in the district and remains cut off from the rest of the district for six months. They demanded up gradation of MAC to primary health centre, providing of electricity, immediate installation of newly purchased diesel generating sets, speedy construction of Nimoo-Padum-Darsha road etc. During the tour DDC had convened a meeting district officers and sub divisional officers at Padum and reviewed the both physical and financial achievements of various departments. He enjoyed upon the officers to speed up the pace of works so that the development works could be completed with time frame. Bhagat also met with the people of Zangla, and representatives of village Pishoo, Chazar and stongday and abreast himself with the problems. He assured their genuine demands would be redressed in a phased manner. |
