| Alleged untrained person appointed as Incharge Anaesthesia Drugs Challenged | | HC stayed the order and issued notice to the respondents | |
Jammu, August, 22- Justice Nirmal Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today in a writ petition filed by Gurvinder Singh a Anaesthesia Technician challenging the adjustment of Showkat Ali a Junior Pharmacist as Incharge of Anaesthesia Drug and Equipment, stayed the impugned order dated August 10, 2006 and issued notice to respondents including Commissioner/Secretary Health and Medical Department, Principal GMC Jammu, HOD Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medical College Jammu.
In the petition it has been submitted that vide order dated May 10, 2006 petitioner was transferred vide the order of Personal Officer Associated of Hospitals Jammu to report to the HOD to take over the charge of Anaesthesia Section of eye-theater. The petitioner was asked by the Principal GMC to take the charge from Vinod Singh, it was alleged in the petition that certain items were missing on physical verification, Vinod Singh asked the petitioner to sign the charge without handing over the actual possession of the items. Petitioner refused to sign and take over the charge and also report to the Principal GMC Jammu. The Principal GMC vide order August 10, 2006 has directed the petitioner to handover the charge to Showkat Ali. According to the petitioner when the petitioner has not taken the charge due to the missing of the items, he is unable to handover the same.
Justice Nirmal Singh after considering the submissions made in the petition issued notice to the respondents and in the meanwhile operation of impugned order dated August 10, 2006 is stayed subject to objections from the other side. |
