No security lapse at PM's residence: Jaiswal
8/22/2006 7:43:17 PM

New Delhi, Aug 22 : There was no security lapse at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence last month, the Lok Sabha was informed today.
This was stated by Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal in reply to a written question by three members who apparently sought to raise the issue of two airhostesses driving upto the inner gate of the high-security residence of the Prime Minister on July 27.

The questionners Hemlal Mormu, P C Thomas and K Dhanaraju sought to know whether an unauthorised car with VIP number entered the Prime Minister's house without any check as reported in a newspaper on July 28.

They also wanted to know the reasons for not exercising the desired security check and action taken for security lapses.

In his written answer, the Minister maintained no unauthorised car with VIP number entered the Prime Minister's house on July 28. "As there was no security lapse, no enquiry has been conducted regarding this," he said.
