| AC Revenue raids medical shops | | | Early Times Reporter Doda | Nov 29 On specific complaints from the public regarding sale/supply of spurious drugs in Kishtwar and peripheral areas, the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar R. K.Shavan raided the medical shops. During the checking it has been noticed that Cadila Company has supplied sub-standard Rabeloc iv injection and the fungus was inside the sealed bottle . Though the expiry date mentioned on the bottle of the injection was November 2007 but has been detected sub-standard six months earlier by the public and Medical Store Keepers as reported by the President Medical Shop Ajaz Ahmed Kichloo. However, the stockiest of Cadila Company has secretly exchanged some of the samples but the rest continues to be in the circulation for sale in the market. On preliminary enquiry it has been found by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue that Drug Inspector has not visited regularly and as a result the complaints of Rebiloc iv injection has not been attended .The shopkeepers have been directed not to sell these drugs till further orders. Meanwhile the Assistant Commissioner Revenue R.K.Shavan said that Drug Inspector has been called and a notice shall also be served to the Cadila Company and if needed ban for the sale/supply of medicines of Cadila Company shall be imposed in Distt. Kishtwar under law in the interest of general public. When contacted Dr. Sanjay Parihar Physician Distt. Hospital Kishtwar said, unless and un till the laboratory tests are received it is difficult to say that drugs are spurious. |
